Please read these terms carefully before using the Duet platform.
1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Duet platform ("Service"), operated by Duet Technologies GmbH ("Duet", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Description of Service
Duet provides an AI-powered user research platform that enables users to create studies, conduct conversational interviews, and analyze research data. The Service includes web-based tools, APIs, and related documentation.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Collect personal data from research participants without appropriate consent
- Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
5. Research Participant Data
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable data protection laws, including obtaining informed consent from research participants. Duet processes participant data on your behalf as a data processor.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by Duet and protected by intellectual property laws. Your research data and study content remain your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.
7. Subscription and Payment
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
8. Availability and Support
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. Support is available through the channels described on our website.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Duet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany.
